I’m looking for other folks to share their experiences with unusual or interesting jobs. If you have a cool job, please let me know so I can feature you on this page! Just send me a short email at jimsmuse@comcast.net that includes the answers to the following questions:
1) When people ask you ‘what do you do?’ how do you describe your job?
2) What are the things about your job that you love?
3) What are the things about your job that you hate?
4) What education, training, vocation or just plain luck would someone have to have in order to get a job like yours?
5) What is the funniest story you can think of that involves your professional training or your job?
Please attach an image to your response that shows you at work (or give us permission to use an image from your site), and a link to your website so people can find out more about you and your cool job!
If you’re willing to share I’m happy to add you to my blogroll and let the world get to know you. Who knows? You may just inspire the next blog-reader to take up your profession!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by shesfinallywriting.wordpress.com. I’ll definitely come back soon and share with you more about my cool job. I may ask my husband to do the same – he’s a wooden boat builder and I think that’s the coolest job out there!
Wow! A two for one family deal would be amazing…I look forward to hearing from you both!
Hey Carrie,
I’m curious… Has anyone contacted you about a journalism job? I’m kinda looking to jump back into that field after like a year’s break, and was hoping to find someone who’s doing it… lemme know…
great blog you’ve got here…
cheers 🙂
I’ll keep you posted on the journalism front, but now you’ve got me curious as to what YOU do every day….please drop me a line and fill us all in! Who knows? Maybe the post could be your big break!
Thanks for the encouragement!
Thanks for the encouraging words. Your insight came from a unique perspective that I’m not used to but want so much more of. I posted a reply below yours.
Hey, I like this site too! I only wish I could add My Cool Job! It IS pretty cool!
Was directed your way by loriannetucson – just sent you email about My Cool Job. 🙂
Now I’m going to go read about everyone else’s!
My job isn’t that cool, but the one I had before it was.
For the record, Lori’s job is pretty cool. Nothing like teasing, eh?
I’ve shunted three jobs so far:
1. Software programmer analyst – this job sucked big time as I was supposed to write Java codes and I didn’t know how to!
2. Journalist/editor – a daily newspaper read my book and thought it’d be cool to hire an author to edit their stories and manage their online edition! 😀
3. Public Relations Manager – Some other people felt I spoke well so they gave me a job as a PR manager!! poor sods! 🙂
As I said, the hunt is on! I liked journalism actually… hehe
Hello
Thanks for visiting compareandy.wordpress.com.
I will have a think about if there’s anything interesting to write about an online airport parking comparison manager and drop you a line.
Thanks
Andy
i luvre your site!! so clever!!
i recently enjoyed a short vacation from my job as teacher/administrator/psychologist/mommy/daddy/referee and had a short stint as a juror. had a grand time! it made me wish that ‘professional juror’ was a full-time job! criminals! lawyers! objections! the fun would never end.
Heyy
I finally think I qualify for your blog – I do some sort of a double-crossing kind of work!! 😀
I’m supposed to work for a Public Relations firm, in the IT Relations post, where my job is to make sure our IT clients get proper exposure in the media, both print media and TV.
Now, on the other hand, I work for a newspaper at nights!!! 😀
Is this ethical!??? 😀

Hey yaake, I don’t know if there is a conflict of interest there or not, but it certainly does sound like an interesting situation. Send away!
I miss the sidebar. I don’t like the dangly bottombar. I have an avatar now. Yay.
Dangly bottom bar is only on the home page for me right now – it’s still a sidebar on this page, for example.
I’m still guessing your CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) got corrupted somehow. My advice would be to switch to a different style, and then switch back again to see if anything improves.
(But if it breaks it further, don’t blame me! LOL 😉 )
I found some info on the wordpressforums and e-mailed them to our intrepid bloghostess. It’s more likely to do with image sizes and blockquotes than CSSpools. I still have an avatar yay!
