There were many, many people living there who were "trucker couples". I started to be able to recognize the trucks as they would come home and pull up outside the park gates. The first thing I'd do was call their RV, as often only one half of the couple would be traveling, and it warmed my heart to see the left-at-home spouse rush out to welcome their other half home. One of my security co-workers was an ex-trucker herself and I know she worried a lot when her husband was out on the road (her first husband was also a trucker who was killed in a road accident). I myself love driving, and had no trouble manoeuvring a 40' RV in tight spaces. But I could never even begin to contemplate handling an 18-wheeler!
