I never thought of teaching English in Japan.....it seems interesting. I wish I knew Japanese though. But I guess teaching English in Japan is kind of the best of both worlds... speaking English while learning Japanese in Japan!

It's true CGW...I AM everywhere on the Internet.

I am Legion.

However, I am limiting my carbs so hopefully that'll clear up soon.

I like learning about other cultures too, but in my case this mostly involves going to the supermarket/mall/food court in the area that caters to the many Japanese speakers and citizens who live in the vicinity. They smile politely at my lame attempts at Japanese, and then sell me crunchy squid snacks and Green Tea Flavored Kit Kats (no really! they exist, and they rock!)

i just run into you everywhere...i was just using stubmleupon on wordpress and found a comment from you on some danish guy's site. you sure get around. :)

this was a cool job post--i was always interested in teaching english abroad but can't leave my family for such lengths of time! instead, i volunteer at my local library and do an 'english conversation' class to ESL students and adults, fulfilling my civic duty to help my community AND get some culture from other countries.

Come tell me. We can exchange info. It will be awesome.

Okay, Carrie - you've done it again! My husband taught English to kids in Japan for a short time, back in the early 90s! I'm beginning to think the world is just a very, very tiny place...
